Rosick-Oslava region - Kukla mine

The Kukla mine is located on the northern edge of the town of Oslavany. It was excavated in 1861 as a ventilation pit and was initially called the New Shaft. In 1865, it was put into operation as a ventilation, pumping and eventually mining pit. In 1902, the first fan with an electric drive was built here.
