Rosick-Oslava region - Ferdinand mine

The mine is located about 1 km south of the village of Zastávka on the western edge of the vast Babické forest. Excavation was started in 1856. Powerful seams 2-6 m thick of first quality were found here. In 1863, a steam engine was installed here, later equipped with an electric drive. In 1904 the iron construction of the mining tower was built and in 1908 a new steam engine was purchased. Around 1900, the mine was in operation...
