František Glaeser was born in Horní Jiřetín in 1789. Already in his youth, he was very musically talented. At the age of 12, he became the singer of the court band in Dresden. After studying at the Prague Conservatory, he went to Vienna, where he made a living as a music composer. He composed more than 120 scenic works.
