Rataje (village)
The village of Rataje is located on the course of the river Smutná, at an altitude of 405 m above sea level, about 7 km north of Bechyně in the district of Tábor.
A number of barrows were found in the vicinity of Rataj, which testify to the local settlement as early as the 11th and 12th centuries. In the direction of nearby Raděticy, about 100 barrows were found with numerous finds dating the oldest settlement of the local COUNTRY to the Middle Bronze Age and the younger Hallstatt period.
