Rataje nad Sázavou - PkP

The Ratají nad Sázavou center stands on a steep promontory above the confluence of the Sázava and Hubertka rivers. The pleasant fortified town was created by rebuilding the market village before 1338; at that time, two castles were built here, while the lower castle - Pirkštejn - kept its original form, and the upper castle was later rebuilt into a castle. Today, the town unfortunately has a rather shabby feel.
The Čerčany railway line runs through Rataj along the Sázava...
