The monument is dedicated to American soldiers who died fighting in the former village of Zhůří for 2 St. war.  
The monument commemorates the incident of May 5, 1945, when the 90th American Infantry Division was tasked with exploring and clearing settlements, including the settlement of Zhůří. By the way, this division was the first unit that entered the Czechoslovak territory during the liberation.…
