Poděbrady-Jordán lake

Lake Jordán in Poděbrady is located near the Havíř Church of the Assumption of P. Mary. Previously, there was a large Jordan Pond here, which was said to have unscrupulous bakers submerged in wooden cages under its surface in the 16th and 17th centuries for "baking unworthy bread". In the 17th century, the punishment was replaced by a fine.
