Sandworks Doubrava

Reviews

The sand pit is located between the villages of Doubrava and Kostomlátky, about 3 km southwest of Nymburk. The sandbank has long been known to the locals for great swimming. It is often called the best swimming in Polabí near Nymburk. The Doubrava sandpit is separated from the Elbe by the regulated right bank of the Elbe, where the Elbe cycle path and the blue hiking trail from Nymburk to Lysá nad Labem lead. There is a large grassy area on the north bank, from which there is a relatively steep access to the water. On the southern shore, you can swim on the excavated sand and pebble beach. The older part of the sandpit right next to the main entrance is overgrown with plants and abundantly stocked with fish. The closer to the excavator - the younger part of the quarry, the bottom and life is poorer. Accommodation near the Doubrava sand pit offers cottages and cottages on this page.
