A village located 19 km northwest of Znojmo and 7 km west of Jevišovice, on the main road E59 from Znojmo (Vienna) to Jihlava (Prague). Cycle route No. 5010 from Jevišovice to Šumná passes through the village. There is a post office, a school, a grocery store, a butcher shop and a restaurant. The village has less than 500 inhabitants.
