Vinice Park in Pardubice
These marl slopes, the mildest in the places of today's park and the steepest under the church of St. Jiljí, on the right bank of the Chrudimka, got their name from the fact that Vojtěch from Pernštejn founded a vineyard here in 1523, consisting of five parts, which were then leased to the local burghers. We do not know exactly when this vineyard disappeared. Most authors connect its demise with the events of the Thirty Years' War...
