Matiční lake in Pardubice
This body of water, popularly nicknamed Maťák, a symbol of the Bubeník orchards founded in 1879-1880, is actually not a lake at all, but the original course of the Chrudimka River. Due to frequent floods, especially those in June 1886 and from March to May 1895, as well as the construction of the railway, the river underwent regulation in the years 1909-1911 and the shutdown of this part of its course created this "lake", on which 1...
