The dominant feature of the Brno-Žebětín district is the church of St. Bartholomew in the central Křivánková náměstí.
Already in the first half of the 1th century, an original church with a prismatic tower was built here at the initiative of Queen Eliška Rejčka, which in its current form represents the western chapel.
A century later, the local parish is mentioned in the sources for the first time.
