Ostrava, the lost Zeyerova street and the destroyed synagogue
Reviews
Does it seem to you that a piece of street cannot be lost, or that two non-adjacent streets can have the same name? It was possible here in Ostrava. During the construction of the new department store Prior-Laso, its rear, warehouse tract grew so much that it took up several tens of meters of Zeyer Street. Thus a paradox arose. On the north side, short Zeyer Street, then a large department store, and, wow, Zeyer Street again on the south side.
