Osek (near Sobotka) – wooden bell tower and Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

Osek is a small village in the Jičín district, which is part of the Hradec Králové region. It is essentially a suburb of Sobotka, in which less than two hundred inhabitants live. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1352. Osek is about sixteen kilometers from the district town of Jičín, and it is just over one kilometer to Sobotka, where you can also find the nearest railway station.
