Nové Strašecí - Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is located in the center of the city in a small park.
The core of the church is a Gothic building, listed as a parish between 1344-51. At that time, the Czech monarchs had the right to file. The foundation of the current nave was created during modifications after 1553, when with the help of King Vladislav II. the church was rebuilt. It was burned down by Swedish troops in 1639, but was rebuilt the following year.…
