In 1908, textile industrialists, brothers Cyril and Josef Bartoňová from Dobenín bought a large estate and castle in Nové Město nad Metují, who invited Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič, Pavel Janák and other architects, builders and artists to repair the castle and its surroundings. In the years 1909-1912, Dušan Jurkovič and engineer Otakar Nyple transformed the former farm yard northwest of the castle into a flower...
