Nova Paka - petrified tree
The petrified tree (araukarite), which was found in 1953 during the construction of the Sports Complex, is placed in a display case next to Suchard's house. Its age is estimated at 230 million years. The length of the fossil is 8,3 meters and the diameter is about 1 meter. Another fossil (araukarite) is found at the site near the sports stadium, its length is 12 meters
