A trip from Dolní Poustevna along the old salt trail to the lookout tower and to the pretty town of Sebnitz. I leave the railway station in Dolní Poustevna following the yellow tourist signs. The path climbs through the forest through Max's shed to the state border. Just beyond the border, there is a turnoff to the top of the Gerstenberg mountain to the Salt Column. It is a 4 meter high historical column of the Saxon triangulation from 1865 with a commemorative plaque of Christian August Nagel.…
