Mill in Březhrad
In 1228, King Václav I allowed the abbot of the Opatovice monastery and his fellow brothers to establish Březhrad on the land of the village of Lhota and a mill near it, which was undoubtedly located on the Stěžer stream (today's Plačický stream). In 1533, the municipality of Hradec founded the Březhrad pond , to make use of muddy and otherwise unusable land. Most likely shortly after that, it was founded in its vicinity...
