The town of Mladá Vožice is the center of the region in southern Bohemia, called Česká Sibiř, 16 km northeast of Tábor. Birthplace of the historian August Sedláček (1843-1926), author of the work Castles, Castles and Fortresses of the Kingdom of Bohemia. There is a commemorative plaque on his birthplace.
