The village is situated in a remote landscape between forests, and according to the first mention of Milenow in 1379, 10 of the 13 lans in the village belonged to the Strašice. This Rosenberg property was administered from Vlčtejna Castle. After 1532, the village belonged to Žákavá, from 1601 to Šťáhlavy, while the parish belonged to Chválenice.
