Marian plague column in Opava

The Marian column carved out of sandstone can be found in Opava in front of St. Adalbert's Church on Dolní náměstí. The column here was built according to the Viennese Marian column "Am Hof" in 1675 by Count Jiří Štěpán from Vrbno. Unfortunately, this original Baroque work has not been preserved to this day, so we only know its original form today from a few depictions. Because the column was badly damaged in 1825...
