Litovel – Gothic jewels in the chapel of St. George

Late Gothic Chapel of St. Jiří in Litovla belongs to the oldest monuments of this historic city. According to the original sources, it should have been built sometime between 1444 and 1520. Since last year, we already know that the Chapel dates from 1484. The last major modifications, such as the construction of the choir, took place here in 1580.
The chapel was built by Jiří z Vlašimi for the local Czech-speaking population, which is why it sometimes happens...
