Litovel-house of the clothier's guild-City library

On Revoluční street in Litovla, near the church of St. Marko stands the Renaissance building of the City Library. This house "glued" to the city walls was built in the 16th century by one of the richest and most numerous guilds in the city, the clothier's guild, as a manifestation of power and financial strength. A part of the city walls with a walkway has still been preserved in the perimeter wall. In the basement of the house there is a sandstone slab with the symbols of the guild...
