Chinese hazel near Žamberek

Chinese hazel (Corylus chinensis) grows in a meadow just beyond the borders of Žamberk above the Rokytenko river.
It was declared a memorial tree in 2009 at the initiative of the Czech Union of Nature Protectors in Žamberk. It is over 12 meters high, the circumference of the trunk was 2,45 m at the time of the announcement. The age of the tree is estimated at 100-120 years.
