Les Svíb - southeastern edge of the forest, monument No. 276

On the southeastern edge of the forest, we find two monumental sandstone monuments not far from each other. One of them is the monument to the Austrian 26th Infantry Regiment. The monument is decorated with an eagle, a laurel wreath and a palm branch, and was dedicated by the officers' corps of the regiment. Across a nearby field, 45 men, members of the Austrian Right Wing, rushed towards the forest, towards injuries and death...
