The predominantly recreational mountain village lies in a wider valley below Hvozd on the old trade route to Žitava. It was first mentioned in 1391 as a village with mills belonging to Milštejn, before 1549 it was known as a glassmaking settlement: Jiří Schürer founded a glassworks here, but after 1700 the smelter disappeared. In the middle of the village stands the late Baroque church of 14 St. of assistants from 1782; it has a late Baroque main altar, a Rococo…
