I have already written about two sculptures by Hradec academic sculptor Josef Škoda (1901 – 1949) in the articles Previously, the controversial sculptures Confluence of the Elbe with the Eagle and Svetlonoši at the Hradec railway station. Today I will mention his other two sculptures, which are the tanner and the jircher. Both stand in front of the entrance of the Secondary Industrial School (originally Koželužská školy) on the corner of Hradecká and Brněnská streets in Hradec Králové.
