Church of St. Martin in Vrchotový Janovice.
Vrchotovy Janovice is certainly one of the oldest settlements in this area. Although the first written mention dates back to 1243, it is certain that the originally Romanesque Church of St. Martina stood here already around the year 1170. It was built on a hill visible from afar and it is likely that there was a fortress and a small settlement near it. However, only part of the tower and masonry in the southwestern part of the nave remain from this time. But it has survived to this day...
