The church was built on this site at least at the beginning of the 14th century, if not earlier. As long as there was a monastery of Teutonic Knights in Miletín, the church in Červená Třemešná was a parish church and, according to the description of the Prague diocese from 1344-1350, it belonged to the archdeaconry and deanery of Hradec Králové.
