The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Louňovice pod Blaníkem stands right next to Jan Žižka Square in the center of the village. It is actually the only preserved building (albeit slightly modified over the centuries) that was part of the Premonstratensian convent that disappeared in the 15th century. The church, built in the Romanesque-Gothic style, apparently stood at the western gate of the monastery, which was founded in 1149...
