Koryčany - "Three Saints John"
Koryčany is a smaller town (approx. 2900 inhabitants) in the Zlín Region below the western slopes of the Chřib Mountains. The first written report about Koryčany is from 1321, as a small town they are mentioned as early as 1349. In the years 1358–1611 they were part of the estate of Cimburk Castle. Moravian margrave Jan Jindřich, brother of Charles IV, was one of the owners of the estate. On January 1, 1967, Koryčany was elevated to a city.
