About 800 meters from the Lower bridge of the Macocha abyss is the Koňský spád viewpoint. This viewpoint offers a view of a desolate gully, a 500m wide and 70m deep valley. The Punkva river flows through the valley, forming a wild canyon here. Koňský spád is a 100m high rock wall. A number of caves open into this and similar steep walls. It is surprising that the Punk Cave together with the upper bridge over the Macocha chasm is under siege...
