The period when this pond, which is located on the southeastern slopes of the "Velká Dorota" springing from the Rohoznické (Klechtávecké) stream, was created, remains unknown to us. It certainly did not exist in 1372, when the village of Rohoznice belonged to the Benedictine monastery of Abbotovice, nor in 1436, when Emperor Sigismund of Luxembourg gave it to Diviša Bořek of Miletínek, together with the pool court.
