Klatovské náměstí is dominated by a trio of towers, the tallest of which is the Black Town Tower, which actually belongs to the Town Hall. The other two towers originally belonged to the Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary and St. Ignatius. St. Ignatius is, of course, Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit Order. The foundations of the church were laid in 1656.
