Monastery - Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary
The history of the monastery dates back to the 13th century, the first written mention is from 1349, but sometime in 1277-89 a monastery was founded here, from which the name of the village is ultimately derived. The name was Cella Janua vitae Mariae, i.e. the monastery Virgin Mary, gates of life. It was a Benedictine order, but it was only a subsidiary monastery of Postoloprtský, where the abbot also resided. So the branches were called Klášterec.
