The fountain on Masaryk Square in Karviná

The historic fountain, standing in the center of Masaryk Square in Karviná, is the largest fountain in the city. It impresses with its sculpturally decorated cast-iron fountain from 1900 and the city coat of arms. Originally there was a stone water reservoir from the 18th century, it was built in 1793. It was constantly supplied with water from the well Pod lipami in Ráji. The new, historicist-style fountain is five meters high, made up of two circular bowls...
