Chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký in Havlovice

The brick belfry was built in 1745 on a rock above the Úpou river on the way to Podháj and further to Mandl or Podhraď. The bell was rung for the first time on December 22, 1745 at the death of local magistrate Jan Řezniček. The original bell was replaced with a new one in 1833 and it remained here until October 2, 1917, when it was requisitioned for war purposes. On June 17, 1885, he even survived a big storm, during which he hit the bell tower...
