In 1947, tanner Jan Hrdý requested the purchase of land on Žerotín hill with the aim of building a chapel as a thank you for his son's recovery. The chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it was consecrated in 1949 by dr. Martin Mikulka, professor of religion in Uherské Hradiště.
