The lookout tower of the church (also referred to as the Town Tower) is located on the small square Behind the Church near Náměstí Miru.
It is a 68,3 m high Gothic tower dating from the 15th century, but it was rebuilt after a great fire in 1801. The original tower was one floor higher and housed 7 bells, one of which, called Knaur, was in its time the second largest bell in Bohemia.
