Roštejn Castle is located in the woods above Telčí near the village of Doupě. It is a Gothic castle built by the lords of Hradec in the 14th century. Towards the end of the 16th century, Zacharias from Hradec had it rebuilt into a hunting castle. In 1915, it burned down in a fire caused by lightning. In the 60s, its repair began and it was completely reconstructed in 2017-2020. It is currently open to the public and is definitely worth a visit.
