The modest ruins of Hoštejn Castle stand on a hill above the village of the same name in Šumpersk in the Olomouc Region. Only the system of ditches and Ramparts has been preserved. At the westernmost tip is the rest of the palace walls and a cellar below. In 1845, a spire-shaped Monument was built on the highest point of the hillfort, commemorating the opening of the Olomouc-Prague railway. The castle ruins are freely accessible.
