Hořiněvské linden trees near Hořiněvsi

Above the village of Hoříněves, on the border between the Podkrkonoší and the Polabská lowlands, there is a gentle hill with a subsoil of chalky shale with an admixture of calcareous claystones, on the highest point of which stands a pair of ancient Hoříněves lime trees, visible from afar, over 550 years old.
