Hartenstein
The ruins of the Gothic castle Hartenštejn stand on Zámecký vrch near Bochov in Karlovy Vary. The castle had an almost square plan. Remarkable was the very elaborate castle defense system with battery towers equipped with loopholes guarding the spiral access road. Remains of walls and towers have been preserved. The castle ruins are freely accessible.
