Habán cellars, wine shop

There are few places where you can literally touch winemaking history. I discovered one of these during a visit to the Habánské sklepy winery in Velké Bílovice. The history of the local cellar dates back to 1614, when it was built, and subsequently wine was produced here, by the people of Habán themselves.

Their secrets can be glimpsed during tours that lead through the original part of the winery and through the historic cellar to the modern wine store.…
