Gothard - Žižek's monument

The monument to Jan Žižka is built approximately on the site of the ancient Hradiště. It was built at the initiative of Sokol in 1873 to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the victorious battle over Čeňek from Vartenberk. The author of the design of the statue was the sculptor Pavel Jiříček from Hořice, who, together with his brother Josef, also participated in the creation of the statue.
