When in 1623 Albert Valdštejn acquired the Navozámeck manor and with it Pavlovice, it was decided to break a path in the sandstone rocks leading from the village to the Swabian Valley to the "Knížecí studánka" and the Swabian stream, then the only source of water for the village.
