Chocerady, Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

The first written mention of the village can be found in 1250. Another important date in the Middle Ages was 1525, when the construction of a wooden bridge across the river was allowed. The country trail from Bohemia to Moravia passed through here. Subsequent development continued much like most places in the country. Today, Chocerady is an independent municipality, to which several local parts are attached. The greater part of the village is located on the right bank of the river…
