Chlumec nad Cidlinou

The castle (Karlova Koruna) was created as a representative country residence, but it was not adapted for permanent residence. It was built by the builder František Maxmilián Kaňka for Count František Ferdinand Kinský in the years 1721-1723 according to the plans of one of the most important architects of Baroque architecture, Jan Santini Aichl.
