Lužnice is a South Bohemian river that rises on the Austrian side of the Novohradské mountains, below the Eichelbergl mountain. On the Czech side, near the village of Pohoří in Šumava, approximately 100 m before the tourist crossing into Austria, we find a well named ČESKÝ PRAMEN LUŽNICE. This is the source of the first Czech tributary of the Lužnice River.
